Welcome to my lair (cough, cough), I mean, Virtual Classroom and Welcome Center. Although I am using this blog to save trees ( by eliminating the need to photocopy pages of class rules and grading procedures that will undoubtedly take up needless space on your dining room table), its primary purpose will be to provide the 8th graders with a forum to showcase their Genius Hour Projects.
Are you ready to become a Writing Minion?
This particular page affords you the opportunity to get a “feel” for my writing class. I love writing. I love teaching writing. It is a sickness, I know. I have often wished that my passion involved gardening instead. Alas! ‘Tis not to be. We are stuck with each other.
As you may have guessed, my writing voice involves a bit of a twisted humor. My goal is to help my students to discover their own voices, cultivate a true enjoyment of writing, and develop writing confidence….in a stress-free environment sprinkled with some fun.

I’m wondering who decided that we should dub you as the ultimate ruler? There is no good side. You’re all dark side. You’re also just not that guy! How can someone who isn’t even that guy be the mighty leader?

Mrs Basil I think it is good that you are trying to make us find our own voice but it is not going to be easy good luck and may the force be with you.
